Hanna Homestead Park in Fort Wayne is a well-used community park, and its previous playground surface had reached the point where the parks department needed to move on it. We installed 6,345 square feet of playground turf across the play area.

Our Approach

Community-park installs at this scale involve more site planning than the raw square footage suggests. We walked drainage patterns, evaluated where existing play equipment sat, and planned the base grade so the finished surface would sit flush with the pathways feeding into it. From there the install runs the same as any of our artificial grass for playgrounds jobs: base prep, seaming, and infill, with the fall-height layer sized for the equipment above it.
