What makes pet turf suitable for both large and small breed dogs?

The pet turf features optimal blade height and density that provides comfortable footing for dogs of all sizes, while its durable construction withstands the play intensity of larger breeds like Great Danes without becoming uncomfortable for smaller breeds like Corgis.

How does synthetic dog grass handle heavy use from multiple dogs?

The pet turf is engineered with reinforced backing and fibers that resist matting and wear even under heavy traffic. The advanced drainage system prevents odor buildup and maintains surface integrity regardless of usage frequency.

What maintenance is required for a large dog playground installation?

Large pet turf installations require minimal maintenance including regular debris removal, occasional rinsing, and periodic brushing to maintain blade orientation. Rinsing carries odors away without extensive cleaning protocols.

Can synthetic grass installations accommodate dogs with different play styles?

Yes, pet turf installations can be designed with varying zones and features to accommodate different play behaviors, from high-energy running areas for active breeds to quieter spaces for more reserved dogs, ensuring all canines can enjoy the space safely.

How long does a professional dog playground installation typically last?

When professionally installed, pet turf installations typically maintain their performance and appearance for 10-15 years or more, depending on usage levels and maintenance practices, making them a long-term investment in canine recreation facilities.

Pet Turf Dog Playground Installation, 2,145 Sq Ft

Project Overview

ForeverLawn® Northeast Indiana completed a specialized 2,145 square foot canine playground installation designed specifically for both Great Danes and Corgis. This unique project required careful consideration of the varying needs of large and small breed dogs, creating an engaging, durable environment for active play and socialization. The installation utilized pet turf, a high-quality synthetic grass product engineered specifically for canine applications.

Our Approach

The installation process began with comprehensive site preparation to ensure proper drainage and stability for the expansive play area. Our team selected pet turf for its long-lasting durability and consistent footing, making it ideal for high-traffic canine environments. The artificial grass for dogs was carefully installed to create seamless transitions throughout the space, accommodating the different play styles of various dog breeds. Special attention was paid to creating zones suitable for both energetic large breeds and smaller, more agile companions.

Key Highlights

The completed playground drains through the full surface, which keeps it straightforward to clean. The pet turf surface provides optimal traction for safe running and playing while remaining gentle on paws of all sizes. The 2,145 square foot space successfully balances open areas for large breed exercise with more intimate zones perfect for smaller dogs, creating an inclusive environment that promotes both physical activity and social interaction among the canine community.
